Details below

You are invited to challenge the place of violence in our world by engaging in a personal study of the practice of nonviolence. Through this exploration you will unlock the interrelationships between powerlessness and violence and between well-being and nonviolence – and you will learn how to:
- Work with Gandhi’s broader definition of what is violent
- Heal violence against self in all of its expressions
- Transmute reactive emotional responses; transform reactive behaviors
- Utilize the creativity inherent in every polarized situation
- Stay present and influence the energetic dynamics of opposition
- Improve communication skills, especially in conflict situations
- Conscientiously assert yourself to maintain integrity, boundaries, personal power, and safety
- Effectively support what you value without frustration, fear, or apathy
Elizabeth Frediani beautifully integrates nonviolent principles, spiritual practice, energy awareness, and mediation strategies to deliver this powerful coursework, which she has been teaching since 1989. Through this thoughtful and experiential work we will penetrate the reactive behaviors and the internal, wounded dynamics that underlie violence and learn to apply creative solutions to self-healing, interpersonal relationships, and world-care.
