Chair Class
Chair Yoga is a gentle form of yoga that adapts yoga positions through creative use of the chair. The chair replaces the mat and offers support, stability, and safety. This class does not require getting up and down from a mat, is easy on the joints, and is ideal for those with chronic conditions such as arthritis, chronic fatigue syndrome, difficulty with balance, or for those recovering from acute injury. Emphasis is on breathing, balance, and taking things at one's own pace. Classes will include meditation and breathing techniques.

Basics/Level I
Appropriate for beginners, those with little or no experience. Instruction will focus on balancing strength, flexibility and stability in the physical body (legs, back and shoulders) and breath awareness while cultivating the inner qualities of mindfulness, perseverance and open-heartedness. Because classes are presented in a progressive sequence, students are encouraged to attend all sessions.

Level II — Continuing Yoga
Classes at this level refine and build endurance in the basic asanas (poses). Emphasis is on gaining confidence in sun salutations and basic asanas, and learning inversions and preparations for backbends while deepening the qualities of sensitivity and clear focus. Classes include basic pranayama, meditation, and occasional restorative practice.

Level III
For those who have at least two years of yoga asana experience. Classes will focus on integrating the physical practice through more challenging asanas such as back bends, headstand and handstand while joyfully harmonizing with the breath. Classes will include pranayama, meditation and occasional restorative practice.

Gentle Class
Appropriate for those who would like a less physically demanding practice. Gentle Class is ideal for aging bodies or those with chronic symptoms such as joint pain, stiffness, weakness or fatigue. Classes will include breath awareness, some strengthening poses, gentle movements to increase range of motion, and restorative poses. Students must have the ability to get up and down from the floor with ease.
Private Instruction
Private instruction can be therapeutic for chronic health issues, can offer support and insight for a home practice, and is favored by some students as their preferred way to study.
